Benefits and IOW Alumni Comments

We emphasize the benefits of international networking between singers and conductors. In the past up to 50% of our singers were offered professional opera / recital engagements in Austria, Canada, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. In 2000, participant  Kimiko Hata was offered a tour engagement of Spain to sing arias and the soprano part in Verdi’s Requiem, and has also been invited to give concert performances in Bulgaria.  2001 workshop participant, Jason Papowitz sang Don Giovanni in Gazzaniga's Don Giovanni and Don Jose for the Prague State Opera. In March, 2003 "Figaro" participants from our 2002 workshop, Jane Foster, Hayden DeWitt, Miguel Hernandez Bautista, Frances Kraemer and Liam Bonner where invited back to Hradec Kralove, CR to perform in a special concert of Italian Opera excerpts. In November 2004 participants from our 2003 workshop, Ellen Cowan, Evelyn Thatcher, and Chantal Parent, and Jason Papowitz have been invited back to Bulgaria to sing in  "Carmen"  for the Young Music Forum Festival  in Vratza.
